Home Match: Tile Master is a tile-matching game with match-3 and renovation elements. A young girl named Lucinda begs the player to help her rebuild her family's home after a fire. The player completes cleaning and repair projects by earning coins and stars via tile-matching games.
The player must create sets of three matching tiles. Common tile icons include apples, balloons, buttons, carrots, fish, leaves, lemons, pots, pumpkins, strawberries, and water. The player can select any highlighted uncovered tile, no matter its position between other tiles. They remove the top layers of tiles to reveal covered lower layers.
The game auto-transfers selected pieces to a tray. The player receives seven chances to make a set. If they fill every slot without completing a match, they must restart the level. They also receive five booster buttons to help them. They can undo a move, shuffle all tiles, place three tray tiles in a temporary storage area, match and remove a set with one move, and add an extra slot to the tray.
After a win, the player can double their coins by viewing an advertisement. They can add to their balance with extra coins from daily rewards and ad-supported treasure chests. They must play several new levels to build up their coin and star balances. Before some levels, the game prompts them to play a timed round known as Lucinda's "Bad Dream," in which they collect water droplet tiles to save the little girl from her nightmares.
Home Match: Tile Master requires the player to renovate one room in the home to unlock the next one. During renovations, they might use their stars to replace damaged flooring, wallpaper, a piece of furniture, or decorations. On a separate screen, they can use their coins to restore Lucinda's outfit and customize the gameplay backdrop.
